After two decades of destination weddings, we believe there is enormous value in that. Life is unpredictable, and your wedding should never depend entirely on the availability of one person.

Founded by Sandra Åberg, Atelier brings together a carefully chosen collective of photographers and filmmakers who share one philosophy, creative direction and standard of care. Every artist we work with is highly experienced and accomplished in their own right, chosen not only for the quality of their work, but for the way they work with people.

We build the right team around each celebration, considering your personalities, your plans, your location and the way you want your wedding to feel.

And that creative direction begins long before the wedding day. Together, we create a visual moodboard and considered creative plan - exploring the location, light, atmosphere, the people who matter to you and the images we want to make space for.

The Atelier approach continues long after the cameras are put away. All of our photography is edited in-house, ensuring the final body of work carries the Atelier eye from beginning to end.

We love both, and use them together throughout a celebration whenever film is important to our clients.

Digital gives us extraordinary flexibility and precision, while analogue brings something entirely its own - softness, texture, beautiful unpredictability and a feeling that is difficult to replicate.

They are simply different ways of seeing and capturing a wedding. Our weddings are photographed primarily on digital, with analogue film available as an addition for couples who love its distinctive character.

And we really do love it.

There is something incredibly special about the art of film photography - the slower process, the imperfections, the anticipation and that unmistakable sense of nostalgia that somehow never grows old.

Rather than forcing film into every part of the day, we choose the moments where it feels right, allowing digital and analogue to live naturally alongside one another.

For couples who want movement and sound to become part of their story, we offer cinematography and Super 8 as an extension of our photography service.

Our filmmakers and photographers work as one team from the very beginning - sharing the same creative direction, preparation and understanding of your celebration. On the wedding day, they know how to move around one another, when to take the lead and when to step back, without competing for the same moments.

This means photography and film don't simply look beautiful together. They feel like they belong to the same story.

For us, that is the whole point.

For this reason, we don't currently offer videography as a standalone service.

Welcome dinners, days on the water, rehearsal evenings, pool parties, wedding days, recovery lunches and quiet mornings afterwards can all become part of the story.

For destination weddings especially, having everyone you love together in one place is incredibly rare.

Because no two celebrations are alike, we don't believe in forcing every couple into the same package. We create a considered proposal around your plans, location, coverage and the Atelier team and mediums that best suit your celebration.

Many of our clients value privacy, and we take that trust incredibly seriously. We are completely comfortable creating something extraordinary that is never shared, submitted or seen beyond the people it was created for.
